I was glad to have been part of World Vision's Sagip Karunungan Summer Tutorial Culminating Activity at the barangay hall of Burol 2 in Dasmarinas, Cavite today. The tutorial sessions was a series of about 6 Saturdays wherein students from universities like FEU and LaSalle taught about 150 elementary children on Math, English and Filipino, so that when they go back to school, they already have no difficulty facing these basic subjects. I, together with Vlad, was their to accompany Ms. Tricia Garcia, a jazz singer and artist, who was there to sing for the kids on their summer activity graduation day. Mr. Manny Tan, a franchisee of Mister Donut, donated 150 donuts for the kids' snacks. The heat was making my head throb, but the noise, whistling, jeering and happiness of the children made me thankful and more persevering that our ministry at World Vision is really for the children. We had games, a little dancing and singing, tutorial singing of "Tubig" by Ms. Tricia, which made her performance very participatory and close to the kids' reach. Kudos to our Public Awareness and Experience Team for a job well done! For the children and for God's glory!
